Vom Edelweißhaus in Kaisers stiegen wir zu sechst bei bestem Bergwetter am Muttekopf vorbei hinauf zum Westgrat der Rotschrofenspitze. Ab dem Rotschrofenkopf wiesen nur noch Trittspuren über Steilgras und Felsschrofen entlang der Nordabbrüche sehr luftig zum Gipfel. Hier sind Schwindelfreiheit und absolute Trittsicherheit Voraussetzung. Am Gipfelkreuz belohnten uns Brotzeit und eine fantastische Aussicht. Danach ging es noch einmal hochkonzentriert über den teilweise ausgesetzten Südgrat hinunter ins Falmedonjoch. Der weitere Abstieg führte dann gemütlich über den Wilden Kaiser zurück nach Kaisers.
